Swedish Institute (SI) - Government of Sweden
Sweden
IMPORTANT DISTINCT REQUIREMENTS: Requires minimum 3,000 hours (approximately 1.5-2 years) of documented professional work experience, plus demonstrated leadership experience. Applicants must first independently secure admission to an eligible Master programme at a Swedish university (via universityadmissions.se) BEFORE the separate SI scholarship application opens - missing the earlier university application deadline disqualifies you from the scholarship entirely, even if within the SI window. Not eligible if you have lived in Sweden for more than 2 years, are a Swedish/EU/EEA citizen, or have previously received an SI scholarship. Highly competitive - approximately 4-6 percent overall acceptance rate.
Full tuition fee waiver, monthly living allowance, one-time travel grant, insurance coverage, membership in SI Network for Global Professionals (NFGP) providing long-term career and leadership development opportunities.
