IMPORTANT PAKISTAN-SPECIFIC REQUIREMENT: Unlike most scholarships, this requires passing the HAT test (Higher Education Aptitude Test) administered by HEC Pakistan, with a minimum score of 60 out of 100. Dual nationals are NOT eligible - must be Pakistani or AJK national and permanent resident only. For Masters: requires first division (upper second class equivalent) in a 16-year Bachelors or Masters degree in a relevant field. For PhD: requires first division in a 17-18 year Masters/MS/MPhil degree. No second or third division allowed in the terminal degree. Applications are NOT submitted directly to CSC - must apply through BOTH the HEC Pakistan portal AND CSC UK portal as HEC is the official nominating body. Result-awaiting candidates may apply with HEC validation. No age limit.
Full tuition and examination fees at the UK host university, return airfare to and from the UK, monthly stipend/living allowance, warm clothing allowance, study travel grant for research-related travel, family allowance where applicable.
